Discussion on 2015's results...

Well, I guess it's only fitting that my first year of doing this, I would go 4/9 (the red highlight indicates an incorrect prediction) . I guess it was just Birdman's night (with the exception of Best Actor). My only qualm about this year's results is in the Best Animated Film category, where the academy went from snubbing The Lego Movie (an aggregious sin, especially considering the lack of competition) to giving the award out to the mediocre and unoriginal Big Hero 6 (a far worse sin). I mean, it was a fun film but there was no creativity at all and everything felt been-there-done-that. While I wasn't as enamored by How To Train Your Dragon 2 as everybody else seemed to be, I still thought it was far better than Big Hero 6 and a win for it would have allowed the academy to redeem itself for not giving the win to the original How To Train Your Dragon. What a wasted opportunity.
